This is retro now, but it started what is today known as the Korean drama ost craze. The drama is riveting even today and you get quite hooked with the various character progressions. It is a period epic about Feudal Korea. The story is through the eyes of a woman who fights for justice for her dead family. In her journey, she gets so much justice that she becomes unstoppable.

Full House

This Korean drama ost received a lot of acclaim which continues even today. In the Full House ost, A woman leaves her house on a holiday and her friends cheat her out of it. She comes back to understand that her house has been sold to a celebrity. Now she has to get her house back. To do that, she takes up a job as a housekeeper in her own house. Compelling watch!

Coffee Prince

The show is about a woman who works to take care of her sister and mother. She doesn’t have time to look beautiful. In fact, people think of her as a boy. So much so, that a rich man employs her to play the role of his homosexual lover so that his family stops forcing him to marry.

Jumong

Jumong was the founder of one of the 3 kingdoms that made up ancient Korea—Goguryeo. This is a veritable epic that spans 80 complete episodes, and is made on a grand scale.

Winter Sonata is a timeless classic, something that hooked Americans to Korean dramas. The plot is as simple as it is convoluted. Made of various ups and downs, there’s lot in store for anyone who wishes to watch a compelling romantic story.

All In

Not many people reviewed this drama well, but it is a classic nonetheless. It is about a man and his incessant attraction for gambling. He falls in love. The story takes him to the US and back. It is the Korean Godfather.

Goong

Goong is a fairytale romance about a prince looking for his wife. Everything’s great about the show except the acting in some bits.

Resurrection

This is a detective show, which are few and far between in Korean drama ost. The show is about two twins of which one dies and the other imposts him to know some secrets that rocked his family. The plot is very well-conceived and brilliantly-written.

My Name is Kim Sam Soon

Kim Sam Soon isn’t much concerned about her physical beauty. She doesn’t do what most women do—try to look beautiful. But does that mean she doesn’t deserve the man she has set her heart upon? This is what this drama is about.

Golden Bride

This one is about a half Viet woman who marries a Korean man and migrates to Korea. What happens after that is a lot of adjustment problems. It is about how the couple deal with the situations that arise in their lives.
